Our Thanksgiving menu is finalized and all the ingredients bought. I’m so excited. The turkey is thawing as we speak! Here’s what Hubs and I decided for our menu:
Apps: Spinach Dip, Cheese and Crackers
Soup: Corn and Crab Chowder
Main Course:Turkey, Stuffing, Mashed Potatoes
Dessert: Sour Cream Apple Pie and Pumpkin Pie
The corn and crab chowder is a recipe from a great cookbook we got for our wedding: The Better Homes and Garden Bridal Edition Cookbook. Even if you’re not a newlywed, this cookbook is amazing. I also am pulling some ideas from another favorite cookbook called Celebrate that has every holiday you could think of an a corresponding menu.
We have plans to camp Friday to Sunday so I’m thinking we’ll have lots of leftovers to take with us, however, they’re actually calling for rain in Los Angeles! Go figure. So, we’re trying to determine our plan B. I’m open to suggestions if anyone has them.
