While I may have been a blog slacker…I have been cooking. And I have proof.
I found the recipe for the stromboli in Martha Stewart Everyday, which began showing up at my house immediately after my wedding. There aren’t a ton of things in there I want to make, so I usually trade the issue for Glamour and Allure which began appearing at my coworkers house. I copied this recipe before I passed the issue on to her and I’m so glad I did. All we did was make pizza dough and fill it with spaghetti sauce, cheese, salami and broccoli but man, were they good.
They turned out much better than stromboli we made in the past because instead of one large ‘boli, we made 4 small ones. Eric wasn’t too keen on the broccoli but I loved it. These definitely weren’t healthy but they were good!
I found this recipe in my church cookbook. The directions were vague, but that was okay. I switched out the zucchini for yellow squash which I like better. The combo of squash, hamburger, potato and corn was so yummy. It was a really satisfying meal without being so overwhelmingly filling.
This weekend we’re making Easter dinner! I’m very excited. I’m sure we’ll have lots to post next week.
